Happy Sunday dear Reader ✨
I hope you're enjoying your weekend. It's a holiday weekend in the US and there's so much chatter around taking time off and enjoying the 3 day weekend. Which I'm all for by the way. Don't worry, I've got away messages up on my inboxes! 😉
But I wanted to pop in and say hi because I don't know about for you but the month of August was insane.
A weekend trip to my parents turned into 5 days which turned into me leaving FL for the time being like a week later. Having to move all my stuff from one storage unit to another in a different state and completely reset up my life with basically no planning or plan. 🤪 Fun times!
Which brings me to why I love doing what I do so much.
It's two fold, really. And part of it is that being a tech VA and OBM, basically, having my own business and clients rather than working for someone else, gives me the flexibility to deal with crazy life happenings like this past August.
If I worked a regular 9-5 job and had to pick up and move that quickly, it would have been much more difficult. I don't even want to think about that!
The flexibility alone is worth all the hard work that comes along with being a business owner.
The second part, is helping other people manage successful businesses.
Whether that's working in the backend and handling the tech and customer service so the CEO can focus on their zone of genius.
Or helping new virtual assistants get their business of the ground so they too can feel the magic that is having control over your time and income.
I think any successful business has to be deeply rooted in purpose. It took me a while to figure out what my purpose actually was. To me, I was always stuck in, I'm good with computers but how does that help people? What bigger purpose does that serve?
I've learned that even though it's a skill and a purpose that works more behind the scenes, it's just as important as any other more forward facing act of service out there.
Because our extroverted friends need our support behind the scenes. And idk about you but as an introvert, that's totally fine by me!
I don't know if you needed to hear any of this today or not, Reader, but if you're struggling moving forward in your business, make sure you find the purpose. That'll be your drive to keep going. 💖

Hey friend, So I just realized... I think I’m starting my business over.
